Installation and Instructions

  1. Begin by disconnecting all power sources to ensure a safe installation environment. Inspect the soft starter unit and accessories for any physical damage. Choose a well-ventilated, dry location away from excessive heat or moisture. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and level to support the device securely before proceeding.

  2. Connect the main power supply to the designated input terminals, ensuring proper insulation and secure fastening. Link the motor’s output terminals (U/V/W) to the soft starter’s corresponding output ports. Double-check all connections for reliability and confirm correct grounding to prevent electrical hazards during operation.

  3. Wire the control input signals (e.g., start/stop commands) to the designated control terminals, following the unit’s wiring diagram. If remote control or communication is required, integrate the 485 interface or other optional modules. Ensure all control wires are neatly organized and shielded to minimize interference.

  4. Power on the device and access the intuitive LED display interface. Configure fundamental settings such as start/stop modes and operational preferences using the keypad. Select from available control options (e.g., voltage ramping) and save configurations. Verify that all settings align with the motor’s operational requirements.

  5. Conduct an initial no-load test to observe the startup sequence, ensuring smooth acceleration and deceleration. Monitor for unusual noises, vibrations, or overheating. Validate the effectiveness of protective features and confirm stable performance. Adjust settings if necessary before proceeding to full-load operation

Note:For SHR2DN series online soft starters, pay attention to proper installation per the manual. Ensure correct wiring to avoid short circuits. Regularly inspect for overheating. Operate within rated voltage and current limits.
